Why Marble for a Coffee Table

The Plyn 01 is a low rectangular marble coffee table inspired by Norm Architects' Plinth collection for Audo Copenhagen. Its form is architectural: a broad, uninterrupted rectangular block at W39.4" × D23.6" × H11.8", with no visible base detail - the stone carries the full visual weight. Available in nine finishes: Stainless Steel, Green Marble, Breccia Rosa, Dark Emperador, Rosa Crema, Sofita Gold, Rosso Levanto, Modellato Marble, and White Marble. The stainless steel version reflects its surroundings; every marble variant introduces natural veining and tonal variation unique to the slab.
The Maia Orb is a round marble coffee table at W36" × D36" × H13.58", with a three-sphere sculptural base that distributes the visual mass around the perimeter while leaving the center open. Available in Travertine Textured Concrete, Modellato Marble, and Travertine. An original Madorne design.
Choosing a Finish: Dark, Light, or Patterned
Dark marble coffee tables - Dark Emperador and Rosso Levanto - anchor a room and read clearly against light upholstery and pale walls. A white marble coffee table - Rosa Crema, Fiore Bianco, or White Marble - works in the opposite direction: it opens a dark room and pairs with deep-toned sofas. Modellato is the most graphic option: its bold veining pattern makes the table a focal point regardless of the room's color palette. Breccia Rosa and Sofita Gold sit between the two extremes - warm, complex surfaces that work in transitional and maximalist rooms alike. The Plyn 01 at H11.8" is calibrated for deep sofas with seat heights between 15" and 17" - the Drift, the Volta, and the Orb all sit within that range. The Maia Orb at H13.58" works with standard sofa seat heights and reads as a sculptural object from above, making it suited to open-plan rooms where the table is visible from multiple angles.
