About Our Furniture

Is this a licensed or authentic reproduction of the original designer's piece?

No. Madorne pieces are independently designed and manufactured — they are not licensed reproductions, and we have no affiliation with, endorsement from, or license from any original designer or their estate. Where a product description references a historical designer or design movement, it's there to describe the design lineage the piece draws from, not to claim authenticity or origin. Full detail is in our Legal Disclaimer & Non-Affiliation Statement.

Why are Madorne's prices so much lower than the licensed originals?

Because we remove the cost layers that don't affect the piece itself: licensing fees, authorized-dealer margins, showroom overhead, and multi-tier distribution. Madorne sells direct, with no retail chain markup layered on top. The manufacturing quality isn't compromised — only the commercial overhead around it is. See Why Madorne for the full breakdown.

Does a lower price mean lower quality?

No. Quality is determined by materials, construction, and quality control — not by licensing. Our manufacturing process is the same regardless of which design a piece references. Details on materials and our multi-stage inspection process are on Our Manufacturing.

Manufacturing & Quality

Where and how is Madorne furniture made?

We work with specialized manufacturing houses in Shenzhen, China, chosen for their expertise in precision upholstery and furniture assembly. Every piece passes through multi-stage quality control — checking proportions, colour and finish consistency, upholstery execution, and structural integrity — before it ships. Read more on Our Manufacturing.

What materials do you use?

Depending on the piece: full-grain and corrected-grain leather, woven textiles including boucle, velvet, chenille and fabric, wood veneers, density-selected foams, and load-tested hardware. Material selection is covered in detail on Our Manufacturing.

Ordering

How do I place an order?

Add the item to your cart and check out directly on madorne.com — no showroom visit or dealer required. You'll receive an order confirmation by email once your payment is processed.

How do I check the status of my order?

Email support@madorne.com with your order number and we'll look it up for you. Once your order ships, you'll also receive tracking information by email.

Shipping & Delivery

How long does production take before my order ships?

Most Madorne pieces are built to order rather than pulled from a warehouse shelf. Production typically takes 2-4 weeks from order confirmation, depending on the piece and current production volume. A small number of ready-to-ship items ship within 3-5 business days. Estimated production time is shown on each product page.

How is my furniture shipped?

It depends on size. Small items — accent pieces, accessories, and lightweight furniture — ship via parcel carrier (FedEx or UPS), typically without a signature requirement. Sofas, chairs, tables, and other large furniture ship via freight carrier with threshold or white glove delivery. Threshold delivery brings the piece to your first accessible entry point; white glove delivery includes room-of-choice placement, unpacking, and packaging removal, and is available as a checkout option in most areas.

How long will delivery take, and where do you ship?

Small items ship via parcel; large or bulky furniture ships via freight with threshold delivery or optional white glove service where available. Estimated delivery is generally 3–6 weeks for small parcel-shipped pieces and 8–12 weeks for large freight-shipped furniture, including production. Estimates vary by product and destination; freight deliveries require scheduling.

How do I track my order?

You'll receive an email with tracking information as soon as your order ships. For freight deliveries, our carrier will also reach out directly to schedule a delivery window. If you can't locate your tracking details, contact support@madorne.com with your order number.

Returns & Exchanges

Can I return an item if I change my mind?

Eligible standard pieces may be returned within 90 days of delivery, unused, unassembled and uninstalled, in their original packaging with all components. No restocking fees apply to approved eligible returns. Voluntary return transportation is arranged and paid for by the customer; our international return facility is in France. Contact support@madorne.com before shipping any return. Genuinely customized or personalized pieces may have different eligibility rules; being made to order alone does not exclude a standard piece. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

Full return conditions and our Terms of Service apply.

Can I return a custom or made-to-order piece?

Eligible standard pieces remain covered by our 90-day return policy even when manufactured to order. Genuinely customized or personalized pieces may be final sale once production starts. Final Sale, Clearance and Outlet restrictions are disclosed before purchase. These restrictions do not affect statutory remedies for damaged, defective or incorrect goods.

Full eligibility conditions and our Terms of Service apply.

Who pays for return shipping, and are there any fees?

There are no restocking fees on approved eligible returns. For voluntary returns, the customer arranges and pays transportation to our designated return facility in France. Original outbound delivery charges are non-refundable except where otherwise stated or required by law. Contact support@madorne.com before shipping a return. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days after approval.

Return conditions and our Terms of Service apply.

What if my item arrives damaged or defective?

Please inspect your piece and packaging on delivery, record visible damage with the carrier where reasonably possible, and keep the packaging. Contact support@madorne.com with your order number and photos within 48 hours where reasonably possible. Our team will review the issue and arrange an appropriate resolution under the return policy. This reporting recommendation does not remove statutory rights.

Damaged or defective items

Warranty

What does the Madorne warranty cover, and for how long?

5 years on structural components — frames, joinery, and load-bearing hardware — for pieces in normal residential use. 1 year on soft components and workmanship — stitching, cushion construction, reclining and swivel mechanisms, glued seams. Coverage begins on your delivery date and applies to the original purchaser at the original delivery address. See Warranty for full terms.

What isn't covered under warranty?

Normal wear such as cushion compression or minor fading, damage from sun exposure or humidity outside the recommended range, misuse or accidental damage, unauthorized repairs, and natural material variation are not covered — these follow directly from how the materials behave, as described in our Care Guide.

How do I file a warranty claim?

Contact support@madorne.com within 14 days of noticing the issue, with your order number, a description of the problem, and clear photos or a short video of the affected area. Once a claim is approved, we'll repair or replace the affected component at no cost, or offer store credit or a partial refund where that isn't practical.

Care

How do I care for my furniture?

It depends on the material — boucle, velvet, leather, fabric, wood, metal, and stone each need slightly different handling. Our Care Guide covers weekly maintenance, spill response, and periodic deep care for every material we use.

Is damage from wear or sun fading covered?

No — fading from sun exposure and normal wear like cushion compression or surface patina are material properties, not defects, so they fall outside our warranty. Keeping pieces out of direct, sustained sunlight and within the humidity range in our Care Guide will slow this process.
