Choosing a wood dining table
A wood dining table brings grain and warmth to the dining room. This selection includes solid ash construction as well as oak and walnut veneer surfaces. Veneer is a real wood surface over a supporting core; it should not be confused with solid timber throughout. Read the construction details of the individual table before choosing.
Round or rectangular wooden dining tables?
Round tops suit arrangements where conversation can flow around the table. Longer rectangular designs provide a more defined axis in the room. Compare the space between the legs with the width of your dining chairs, and leave enough clearance to pull each chair out.
How should you care for a wood dining table?
Use coasters and heat protection, wipe up spills promptly and follow the care instructions for the chosen finish. A walnut-toned stain describes color and does not necessarily mean the table is made from walnut wood.
