Warranty

Every Madorne piece goes through multi-stage quality control before it ships - see our manufacturing process. This warranty covers what can still go wrong: a structural or manufacturing defect that surfaces after a piece has been in your home for a while.

Coverage Period

5 years on structural components - frames, joinery, and load-bearing hardware - for pieces in normal residential use. 1 year on soft components and workmanship - stitching, cushion construction, reclining and swivel mechanisms, glued seams. Coverage begins on the delivery date shown on your order and is non-transferable: it applies to the original purchaser at the original delivery address.

Pieces used in commercial or hospitality settings - offices, restaurants, short-term rentals - carry a reduced 1-year warranty on structural components only, reflecting the heavier use these environments place on furniture.

What's Covered

  • Structural failure in a solid wood or metal frame under normal residential use
  • Joinery failure - a joint that separates or a weld that fails without misuse
  • Manufacturing defects in stitching, cushion construction, or upholstery attachment present at delivery or appearing under normal use within the coverage period
  • Mechanism failure - a swivel base, recline mechanism, or drawer glide that fails under normal use
  • Hardware defects - fixings or connectors that corrode or loosen under normal use, not installation error

What's Not Covered

The exclusions below follow directly from how these materials behave, described in more detail in the Care Guide.

  • Normal wear - cushion compression, minor fading, or surface patina that develops with use
  • Fading or drying from sun exposure. Every upholstery material and wood finish fades under sustained UV exposure; this is a material property, not a defect
  • Damage from humidity extremes, heat sources, or placement outside the 40-60% relative humidity range described in the Care Guide
  • Misuse, abuse, or accidental damage - including damage from moving, pets, or use beyond the piece's intended purpose
  • Unauthorized modification or repair - work performed by anyone other than Madorne or a Madorne-approved technician voids coverage on the affected component
  • Natural material variation - grain, marbling, or hide characteristics that vary piece to piece are not defects
  • Leather, fabric, marble, and other surface materials are covered only for manufacturing defects present at delivery, not for wear that develops over time
  • Pieces resold, relocated outside the contiguous United States, or moved into commercial use after a residential purchase

Filing a Claim

Contact support@madorne.com within 14 days of noticing the issue. Include your order number, a description of the problem, and clear photos or a short video of the affected area - this is what lets us diagnose the issue without a site visit and move straight to a resolution.

Once a claim is approved, Madorne will repair or replace the affected component at no cost, or reimburse an approved local repair when replacement isn't practical. Replacement parts follow the same production timeline as new orders - typically several weeks - since they're built to the same specification, not pulled from generic stock. Where a component can't reasonably be repaired or replaced, Madorne will offer store credit or a partial refund at its discretion.

Madorne's liability under this warranty is limited to the purchase price of the affected piece.
